The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently unveiled the seventh batch of national “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative (Little Giant)” enterprises. Guangzhou Zhiguang Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. (“Zhiguang Energy Storage”) has been successfully selected, showcasing its strong innovation capabilities, deep technological expertise, and leading role in the advanced energy storage sector.
National Little Giant enterprises are recognized as pioneers of innovation among small and medium-sized businesses. The selection criteria are exceptionally stringent, requiring excellence in four dimensions: specialization, refinement, uniqueness, and innovation. Particular emphasis is placed on a company’s ability to address critical technology gaps, strengthen core advantages, and fill gaps in the industrial chain. Rigorous requirements are also imposed on independent control over core technologies, R&D investment intensity, and market competitiveness, making this recognition both highly competitive and prestigious.
Since its founding, Zhiguang Energy Storage has focused on cascade-type high-voltage, large-capacity energy storage technologies. Leveraging deep technical expertise and continuous innovation, the company has completed over twenty exemplary demonstration projects and now commands a 70% domestic market share in cascade high-voltage products, solidifying its leadership in the field.
Zhiguang Energy Storage is not only an advocate of the cascade high-voltage, large-capacity energy storage technology route but also a key driver of related standardization. To date, the company has led or participated in the formulation and revision of 45 national, industry, and association standards, including 16 authoritative national and industry standards, many of which fill gaps in cascade high-voltage technical standards.
